We bought The Courtyard in Hunslet, Leeds, in late 2024 and three out of five self-contained ground and first floor units were already occupied, with a full refurbishment completed on the remaining two.
Now, the 6,000 sq ft site is fully let, enabling five businesses to thrive and grow in the area.

Situated just 1.5 miles from Leeds city centre, the two refurbished units at The Courtyard include new fitted kitchens, bathrooms and flooring, rear access with loading doors, and exposed ceilings and LED lighting to create a modern, urban feel.
The site sits in a secure gated estate with excellent access to the M621 and wider M62 motorway network, supported by ample parking.
Sohaib Abouelela, Founder and Managing Director at Zenith Dental Labs, which makes dental prosthetics for dentists across the UK, Europe and South America, is one of the two new tenants to move to The Courtyard.
He said: “We’re a start-up business employing four people and this is a great, quiet space which we can tailor to suit us. I can use upstairs for courses and education, and downstairs has a nice industrial look, which is a great environment to grow in.
“Allenby Commercial have been great, and I’m very happy here. They understand business and are very supportive.”
Security provider Controlled Space, which was established in Leeds in 2002 and operates across the UK, relocated to The Courtyard from Dock Street in Leeds city centre. It employs 350 people across the country, including eight office staff.
Business Development Manager Ryan Johnson said: “We’ve been trying to move and find the right location for two years, so when this unit came up, it was ideal. We have fantastic motorway links, and Allenby Commercial built us a storage room.
“It’s a really fresh, modern space, and it’s also refreshing to work with down-to-earth people who listen to you and are easy to work with.
“This space gives us room to grow as a business and we’re excited for the future.”
Acclaimed Security, which provides individually-tailored business security across West Yorkshire and employs 60 security officers, has been based at The Courtyard since 2020.
Managing Director Richard McElroy said: “We’re happy to see Allenby Commercial investing in the site and improving it. It’s good to have it fully occupied and attracting new businesses to the area.”
Cyber Security Consultancy Halo and Carden & Sons Independent Family Funeral Directors are also based at The Courtyard.
CBRE and Carter Towler are joint letting agents on the scheme.
