Once known for its industrial past, our city is now embracing its cultural heritage and becoming a vibrant and exciting place to live, work, and visit. We were the City of Culture in 2017 after all! The growth of the city has led more and more businesses to set up offices here – including a few new exciting ones coming in 2024…

Upcoming Opportunities
New Co-Working Space Coming to Hull
Once a thing that was only seen in bigger cities such as Leeds and Manchester, the Allenby Commercial team recognised the need for a co-working space in Hull City Centre.
We’re currently working on ‘Monocle’ – a luxury office building on the corner of Ferensway and Anlaby Road. The building will feature a large number of modern offices and a luxury rooftop terrace where you can look out over the city’s views. Work will begin next year and the offices will be ready to open their doors in 2025!

Humber Business Week
An event for Hull’s fantastic business people – of which there are many!
Humber Business Week has been up and running since 2004. Whether you’re working for a large business, self-employed or just wanting to do some networking, the event welcomes everyone who’s interested with open arms.
Businesses across the city host different events throughout the week, including Q&As, educational talks, networking talks and dinners.
Keep an eye out for the dates of Humber Business Week 2024, you won’t want to miss it!
Putting Hull on the Map
Hull Throw Events Like No Other…
We know it’s only December, but we can’t help but get excited for the festival season when Hull does it so well.
Freedom Festival, Hull Pride and Humber Street Sesh are some of the city’s biggest events of the year. Now, the dates haven’t been released yet (we told you we were excited!) but it’s definitely worth jotting down to look out for them if you want some summer fun and to support your local talent!
Want to Learn About The City’s History?
From chip spice, the largest Yorkshire pudding factory, cream telephone boxes and William Wilberforce, Hull has plenty of history to go around.
Whether you’ve moved to the city recently or were born here, the people of Hull will always enjoy talking about what makes this place so special, and there’s never any shortage of places to visit if you want to learn more about the city!
Sites such as the Wilberforce Museum and Ferens Art Gallery (to name a couple) are always hosting exciting family days and exhibits which everyone can get involved in, and they’re usually free which is always a bonus!
If you want some history-rich, affordable family fun, keep an eye out for what’s going on in 2024!
Celebrities Know Hull’s The Place To Be
In 2023, we had some really big names in our city, from artists including Sean Paul and JLS (throwback!) to comedians Russell Howard and Jack Whitehall – just to name a few. We hope they got the full Hull experience and had a pattie butty while they were here…
With multiple entertainment venues and even our own music arena, it’s no surprise that even bigger names are coming to Hull next year, including Paloma Faith, Sarah Millican and Bill Bailey.
Even if live music and comedy aren’t your thing, there’s a surplus of other fantastic events hosted here in 2024 – including theatre shows such as Shrek The Musical and Come From Away at Hull New Theatre.
For some more laid-back entertainment, pop to Hull Ice Arena to support your local ice hockey team, the Hull Stingrays, or attend one of the many football and rugby matches at the sports stadiums across the city.
